Indoor Activities Ecouraging Creativity in Young Children

Assalamualaikum parents, teachers and beloved readers,

Alhamdulillah, we have passed the 10th days of Ramadhan. May Allah grant us barakah and strength throughout this fasting month. Insyaallah.

We have almost a week left until the end of the school holiday and I'm sure most of the parents are taking this opportunity to prepare for upcoming Eidulfitri with their children. Lots of shopping malls and markets are buzzing with excited children choosing, trying and buying baju raya, shawls, songkok, sampins and so on. In the midst of it all, we must not forget to prioritize our time and energy which is to perform as much ibadah in the spirit of Ramadhan.

I would like to share with you the list of activities that can encourage children's creativity. These fun and colorful activities are a great way for children to practice their artistic and motor skills while staying indoors. Parental involvement in these activities is very important to monitor your children's progress and capability in creative imagination. While doing so, don't forget to use the words of encouragement for your children.

80 Words of Encouragement for Children

Words can become meaningless when they aren’t followed with action, but nonetheless, words have great power. By choosing to compliment your child for things that are specific and unique to them, you will let your child know that you really see them and value them for who they are.

Children are sensitive because they haven’t yet developed a healthy self-esteem. What they needed to hear more than anything from their parents and teachers  are words of encouragement.

Below are 80 sample words of encouragement you can use to boost your child’s self-confidence
